Andrew Cutz, CIH Managing - Principal of Health+Safety Matters & Associates based in Markham, Ontario has been providing IAQ Solutions (C) across the Ontario's Golden Horse Shoe for the last 25-years. Most recently as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, he led a team of occupational hygienists and environmental technologists at T. Harris Environmental Management Inc. in Toronto, Ontario with a diverse client base, tenants and property management companies.
Some flagship properties included the annual indoor air quality survey of the First Canadian Place in Downtown Toronto and the Xerox Centre in North York. Addressing and investigating IEQ complaints for example on behalf of the Toronto District School Board, the University Health Network in Toronto, the American Express Centre in Markham, Ontario, and Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario during their multi-year reconstruction project.
Mr. Cutz also performed the base-line IAQ assessment at the New Terminal One at the Toronto International Airport before it's opening to public in Spring 2004. He is a frequent contributor to the IEQ List and Moderator of the Flood Relief Aid List, both of which deal with among all with public health issues surrounding water-damaged buildings and properties. He oversaw and/or acted as a technical resource person and as a signing authority on numerous water-damaged, asbestos-containing material and lead-paint remediation building projects across Ontario.
He is a new and enthusiastic member of the Canadian Green Building Council and the U.S. Green Building Council, and is scheduled to write his LEED AP examination for New Construction later this year. He frequently attends the TRANE-Toronto webinars on building HVAC system installation and operation, and is looking forward to put together an expert team to conduct a LEED certification audit for a chain of resorts in the Caribbean.
