The GREEN UP Program provides tools, performance standards and resources to help building owners and operators understand, measure and compare on-going performance of their building portfolio - helping them find efficiencies and improvements to achieve deep reductions in energy use, water use and greenhouse gas emissions. With ever-increasing numbers of building owners and homeowners engaging in this initiative, and reporting their energy and water use, the CaGBC is creating a large, dynamic building performance database and information system for entire building sectors. This will allow reporting on energy and emissions, conservation potential and trends, performance and design standards.Through the GREEN UP Program, building owners and managers are able to take a structured, standardized approach to:
In Spring 2012, GREEN UP is releasing an intuitive mobile platform and revised pricing aimed at office, retail, government and multifamily building portfolios. GREEN UP Workshops for Post Secondary Institutions Over the course of this year, the CaGBC will be conducting a series of one-day workshops across Canada with Institutions in the post secondary sector. These workshops will be facilitated by experts in the field of building operations and will use GREEN UP tools to provide feedback on the performance of post secondary buildings and demonstrate how the institution’s buildings benchmark against others in the sector. Some of the benefits of taking part in the workshop for post secondary institutions include: • Energy, water, and GHG benchmarking results for two of your buildings. • Savings potential, trends and initial energy targets for the buildings. • Learn how a more detailed Building Performance Audit can assist with defining targeted improvements of building performance. Arena Facilities Pilot Project This national pilot project will benchmark arena facilities across Canada, identify and audit top-performing facilities, establish national performance and design standards, and enable participants to track performance trends in their own facilities and the sector as a whole. Register today and start using the tools, performance standards and resources in GREEN UP to help you understand, measure and compare on-going performance of your building portfolio to help them find efficiencies and improvements to achieve deep reductions in energy use, water use and greenhouse gas emissions. Renewing GREEN UP Participant(s) The CaGBC is proud to announce that SITQ Inc. have signed for another year of participation in the Commercial Office Buildings Program.
