EnerGuide

The EnerGuide rating service starts with an analysis of your new house plans by an EnerGuide rating service energy advisor. The advisor recommends energy-saving upgrades and works with your builder to develop a report that lists various cost-effective options. Builders then estimate the upgrade work and provide you with a price.

When construction is done, the EnerGuide advisor verifies the applied energy upgrades and performs a blower door test. After the data has been collected, your home receives its EnerGuide rating.
