Emerging Green Builders (EGBs)

Who are Emerging Green Builders?

The Emerging Green Builders are a group of students and young professionals committed to being leaders of change in the green building industry.  Our committee works to organize monthly activities, events and introductory-level educational programs specifically designed for the EGB demographic and we partner with many of the colleges and universities in the GTA to host these events.

Our mission is to support the Toronto CaGBC Chapter’s mission of facilitating market transformation by supporting students and new professionals through educational programs, career development opportunities, and networking events.

EGB is an official committee of the Greater Toronto Chapter with full representation on the board.  The committee is lead by two co-chairs and eight executive members.  We have 100 associate members which is about 30 percent of the chapter membership.  Emerging Green Builders are seen as the future of the chapter and therefore enjoy the benefits of regular chapter members at a discounted annual rate.

Our committee is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers and we strongly rely on sponsors to help subsidize the cost of materials, marketing, venues and modest refreshments at our events. If you are interested in EGB sponsorship opportunities, please contact info (at) gta.cagbc.org*
