About Our Green Building

Designed in the late 1920s as a dry-storage shed for general merchandise and cold storage, the Terminal Warehouse Building, now known as Queen’s Quay Terminal, was the first poured concrete building in Canada. Now owned by Brookfield Properties, Queen’s Quay Terminal stands as one of Toronto's first conversions of a former industrial building to a mix of commercial, office and residential condominiums.

Queen’s Quay Terminal is seeking LEED Canada for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (LEED Canada EB:OM) and is currently aligning itself to meet all 9 prerequisites. In addition to meeting the minimum LEED requirements, the property has obtained
BOMA BESt Level 4 (90-99%) Certification and annually reports emissions to the Carbon Disclosure Project.  Learn more about the Queen’s Quay Terminal's green features.

With an ever-growing network of over 6,000 building industry professionals across Southern Ontario, our Chapter provides networking events education, and local tools and resources for the commercial and residential building communities, creating a clean, healthy, high-performance built environment.
